If you had to immigrate from your current home, where in the world would you choose to go? Why?

Post 2 by SunshineAndRain (I'm happily married, a mom of two and a fulltime college student.) on Saturday, 30-Aug-2008 23:44:40

The UK. The services for the disabled seem better there. Plus, in my opinion they're more accepting than people are here in the US.

Japan because they are one of the best as far as new technology goes.

Somewhere where I could do something useful and make a difference to people's lives. Gaza, the West bank, Egypt, (I'm also learning Arabic so they have to be high on the list), anywhere else where I could do *something*. Not going to happen, but the question was hypothetical so...

I already immigrated from Vietnam to come to the States and I really do love it here. But i really want to live in England for a little while. Things just seems so interesting there, and plus, I love the accent, lol. hmm, maybe I can go to college there or something. Besides there, I also want to do something that allows me to travel one day. god, that would be amazing

Post 7 by 'Alika (Zone BBS Addict) on Sunday, 30-Nov-2008 21:12:50

Ah, I love British accents too!

Post 8 by redgirl34 (Scottish) on Monday, 01-Dec-2008 6:52:33

I would like to move to England from Scotland. Because The blind people get more help in England rather than Scotland.

Japan because of the advanced technology.

LOL Ray, shush, you've already been to Hawaii, unlike the rest of us! lol :P. Japan seems pretty cool too though.

Post 13 by redgirl34 (Scottish) on Thursday, 04-Dec-2008 17:28:24

I also like Dublin in Ireland. The only thing is, it is expensive to live there.

Post 14 by TheAsianInvasion (The Zone's invader) on Friday, 05-Dec-2008 7:22:26

Post 15 by Thunderstorm (HotIndian!) on Friday, 05-Dec-2008 8:49:14

hmmmm. where to go?

1. where there is no rasism.

2. where there is no religious fights.

3. where there is no terrorists.

4. where there is equal treatment for the blind.

5. where there is good accessibility.

6. where there are people with real love and affection.

7. where I can earn more money.

8. where I can get tasty spicy food.

9. where I can get fluffy wuffy...

10. whether all are available in hell?

Raaj.

I don't think that place exists.

Galt’s Gulch
No, I am kidding, I probably wouldn’t like that fictional place anyways.

I moved here from Hong Kong, but if I were to move again, I would probably move to England, Ireland, Scottlan, or Australia. I love there accents and besides I don’t have to learn another language but my first choice is definitely England though.

I'd say definitely either Japan or China for me.
I love their culture and all those ancient sites in china is very appealing and plus I want to learn chinese!
Japan to me is not so interesting due to it's advanced technology, but more taht I am a huge anime fan and would love to just watch TV there lol.
And plus, also a rich history.
I'm not much of a fan of other places in the west accept maybe hawaii for the weather since the west is all connected in one way or another historically.

I would go to one of the more stable countries in Latin America, like Costa Rica, Uruguay, or Chile, or French Guyana in South America, which is still under the French government. I speak French and am working on improving my Spanish, and these are fairly stable societies politically and economically. Chile rations the number of people who can work in each profession so they don't have massive unemployment problems, as the capital is the only major city. Uruguay is Catholic majority, but they host populations from other countries and you're free to practice...or not practice...anything you want. I would love to at least visit if not emigrate to one of these societies, Mexico too.

I'm totaly fine here, but I think I'd go to either New york, due to the Met, maybe if my singing improves, someday I may be able to sing opera there (very unlikely, but still possible). I'd also love to go to italy to improve my italian, and also because of the opera, the language there is just so lyrical.

Post 21 by basket (knowledge is power) on Wednesday, 03-Aug-2011 16:14:16

I would say I would love to go to South Korea. Its relatively stable, good social programs, and opperate on a technological level taht is not seen in the west.

Post 22 by Inspired Chick (Zone BBS Addict) on Friday, 27-Jan-2012 10:43:10

I'm in the US. But if I had to immigrate to the UK or Italy. I think Italians rock... And I'd love to learn the culture..... :)
